Hi everyone,

As a sophomore, I can honestly say time has flown by faster than I could have ever imagined! There was not one day in the month of October when I did not have anything to do!

As the college years go by, it only gets harder and harder (sorry guys I don’t want to be a downer) but you should always be willing to step up to the challenge!

So, lets take the month of October as an example. I had four midterms (two of which were on the same day), two papers due on the same day as well, work (10 hours a week), volleyball practice every Friday, volleyball games every Thursday,  Dean’s host responsibilities and two group projects!

Well, how do you it? How can you possibly fit so many things into your schedule?

It takes much dedication,  a ton of productivity and a strict hierarchy of values (what is more important watching the Walking Dead or studying for your Bio exam tomorrow? (LOL)

Over time I have learned that sitting down, and developing a schedule that accommodates your preferences is the best way to manage your time because you are more likely to follow through with things when they directly fit into your routine!

I, for example, am the type of person that does not mind waking up early, and so I have early classes, followed by work, followed by homework, followed by volleyball!

All in all, time management is essential especially for college students, however developing a efficient work ethic will also play a large role beyond college, and so it is crucial to start developing time management abilities as early on as possible!
