Lately there’s been a commercial running on t.v. about high school seniors opening college acceptance letters and it has sparked me to recollect on my acceptance letter experience!
When I opened my acceptance letter I was standing next to my mom, began to jump up and down, and finally burst into tears! The only thought I can remember thinking is “they want me! They actually want me!”
Opening your college acceptance letter is definitely one experience that you will never forget! Once you say “yes” you will be very surprised to see how fast time passes! Within a month’s notice of that one magic letter you will be planning your trip for college orientation, looking over financial aid offers, registering for classes, buying books, prepping for late-August move-in dates, and so much more!
Now, I know that college letters may also be disappointing, especially if you did not get into your number one pick! Trust me you are not alone–many of us have been there too! Instead of being disappointed, do not fret, because the right college is waiting for you! Each year colleges become more and more selective; therefore, you should be proud to have made it this far!
Well, I would like to say congratulations to all those high school seniors who are opening letters and going on to college! Congrats on taking that big step and moving forward– enjoy it because you will be surprised as to how fast it goes!!
