Hello!
My name is Andrea and I am a first generation college student. I am attending the University of Houston and I cannot complain too much so far. So far college has been all about remembering your deadlines and ensuring you are completing assignments. It has been a mixture of, “Oh yeah. I was expecting that” and “Um, wait, what?” But so far it has been pretty good. I don’t have any former high school classmates attending the same university as me but I do have my long-term boyfriend which has been really helpful and great!
I have been keeping in contact with my close friends but it has been a bit of a struggle to find time to talk (even to my family) with all the studying and classes. I have felt pretty swamped and bombarded with deadlines but I think I am sort of getting the hang of it. I suppose the truth will be known when I have to take my first exam.
I am very excited to share my college experience!
