As 2021 begins it is filled with hope and the promise of something new. It also means the end of winter break… and that means back to school! While having a month-long break to come home see friends and enjoying some at home cooking has been amazing, I am itching to get back to campus! Being at home has been fun and allowed me to get some well-deserved rest and relaxation but being on campus holds a special place in my heart. Mostly because on-campus holds a different environment and a sense of independence that being home just doesn’t allow. But, with the return of independence comes the return of online zoom lectures, e-books, and late-night study sessions. I’ve been in class for about two weeks now and while it has been an adjustment to a new schedule I feel a lot better than last semester because of the familiarity of being online. I currently have one class where we have the option to meet in person and I’m very excited for this opportunity to get back into a classroom and interact with the professor. The library on campus is finally going to reopen in February which is very exciting and is definitely where I will be spending most of my time this year on campus. It did take some time getting back into a learning mood but once you get back into the swing of things it starts to come back naturally. This semester I am excited to finally get into more classes that have to do with child psychology and learn more about that! I am also very excited for getting to hang out with new friends that I have made here while on campus, I can already tell that this semester is going to be a lot of fun and holds a lot of promise!
