Finally, the stress of the college selection process is calming down, so the stress level should be going down, right? While your hard work should be rewarded, it’s also a perfect time to start preparing yourself for your new journey through college! This is something I wish I would’ve done the summer before my first year because a lot of my initial college classes mainly were a review of what I already knew from some of my high school classes (especially my honors and AP classes). I wish I would’ve kept all my vital class information together so it would be easy to look back at my first year of college. The pace of college classes is quite different from what I experienced at my high school, so I know I would’ve kept up much better if I had done that. I had a lot of trouble keeping a steady work ethic during my initial year, and I learned from my mistakes. It’s normal to have mess-ups and errors, and it’s how you know from them that matters. Don’t neglect your support systems, and keep your head up; you’ve got this! 🙂
