As finals week approaches it also brings the end of my Junior year. It has been such a surreal experience considering my first two years were heavily affected by the global pandemic that this year has felt like the first “normal” college year. This year I’ve been able to work with children with Autism and truly realize that becoming a school psychologist is something that I want to do with my life. This has capitulated me into researching graduate schools and planning to visit some over summer break. I am now a Student Manager for the Admissions Tour Team and have been loving every minute of it! This semester I took a break from my sorority in order to make time for work and my course load but I am very excited to get back to it in the fall. I get to interact with more people around the office and work closely with so many friends! I am however anxious to graduate as the uncertainty of where I will end up looms. However, it is important to focus on what is currently happening in my life. I am currently taking one of the hardest psychology classes in my major and it truly has been a struggle but finally after hours of studying I did really well on our third exam and need to remain completely focused so I do just as well on our final exam. After finals, I can focus on traveling over the summer, gearing up for my graduate school applications while also planning to celebrate my 21st birthday in Chicago! Overall, I’m looking forward to next year and I can’t wait to see what life brings next year!
