Entering the second semester of my senior year, I have been reflecting on how much I have changed over my years as an undergrad. I’ve grown into more of a confident speaker, leader, and learner. Outside of classes this semester, I have been busy with clinicals at The Autism Place and am upset that I have to leave the kids for such a long winter break! I have also been a part of The Student Council for Exceptional Children which has been an amazing experience getting to know other students at ISU. At my job, I have been working around 10-15 hours a week, which has also taken up a majority of my time but still keeps me connected with all of my close friends! I have definitely been reflecting more on the time that I have left and what I want to do with my last semester on campus! I want to continue to do all of my extracurriculars but I also want to make more time for friends on campus and just hang out more. This semester I didn’t get to frequent my favorite coffee shops or Chicago as much as I would have liked to but next semester it’s at the top of my list. I am waiting to hear back about interviews for graduate school and to see if I got in but I’ve decided to just not worry about interviews or anything until I get confirmation. I want to cherish the time I have left with my friends and try something around campus that I haven’t had the time to try yet! Before I do that I am looking forward to a very relaxing break at home where I get to catch up on some sleep and TV shows!
