I hope that everybody is having a great holiday season! While this is a time for festivities and relaxation, I know a lot of you are freaking out about taking this next big step in your college career: applications. My advice, and something I wish I knew about filling them out, is while it’s key to show your best self (being respectful and professional), still keep in mind that these people are human just like you. It’s easy to get swept up in thinking that all of these reviewers are scouring for your flaws to use against you, but in reality, they are just people who are trying to help more than anything. Most importantly, have confidence in yourself! Be proud that you’ve made it this far, and instead of focusing on what could go wrong, be excited about what could go right. Good luck everybody!
