Time management. Literally, from the moment you step onto campus, that is the single most talked about thing. I think this is true for everything, whether it be college, high school, or even your career. You have to be careful to balance all of your activities and work at the same time.
So far, I have to admit that I’m pretty proud of how I’ve managed my time. I joined the Women’s Rugby team and my school’s Outing Club. I also volunteer and take meditation classes during the week. Originally, I wanted to join EVERYTHING from salsa dancing to political groups. But you have to realize that there are only so many hours in a day and you have to prioritize how you want to spend them.
So, when managing your time, think: priorities. What is most important to you? Make sure to spend enough time on that. Then, think about all the other things that must be done and spread them out. Use every single second of your day. Really! Bring flashcards or a book with you for those five minutes you have between classes. I promise, you’ll be so grateful!
