As the end of this semester is drawing to a close, I reflect on the beginning of the semester and realize that it really did not go as I had hoped.
The classes I took this semester were more geared towards my major and they were a lot more difficult than I had anticipated. While finals are not over just yet (two more to go, yay!), I did not do as well as I had planned to do at the beginning of the semester. At this point there is nothing I can do to change this. However, I can do better from now on.
It is really important to stay on track during the year. It may seem obvious or redundant, but it is actually really easy to lose sight or get lazy during the semester and not realize how much slacking off can hurt you. A few missed classes may seem like no big deal, a couple of assignments not done does not seem like an issue, but all of that adds up at the end and missing out on vital information can really hurt you. Also, if you need tutoring or any help, do NOT be afraid to get help! Do not let anything inhibit your ability to get the grade you deserve.
Staying focused is incredibly important and making sure you take everything seriously and actually learning is vital to your grade. You never know what your professor can choose to pull out on tests- everything is important!
