If you’re a high school senior about to be a first-generation college student at an I’m First college partner (full list here), you are eligible for our $2,000 per year renewable scholarship.
That means you apply to the scholarship once, and, if selected, you will receive the scholarship every year for all four years of your college career.
And, as an added bonus, your written and video blog posts will be featured on our site. We give you money for school and the chance to help other first-gen and aspiring first-gen college students around the country!
Here are the requirements: you MUST be a first-generation college student. That means neither of your parents have received a bachelor’s degree (but if your older sibling did you’re still in the clear). You must also be a high school senior who will be enrolled at an I’m First college partner (list here) as a freshman in the Fall of 2013.
There is no minimum GPA or SAT/ACT score and students interested in all fields of study are encouraged to apply.
Ideal candidates are seeking financial aid for college, strong writers, and committed to helping other first-gen students make it to and through college.
The application can be completed here. The deadline is May 24 but as we all know, there’s no time better than the present, especially when it comes to getting free money for school. So why not start now?
