sophia-85So, what I’ve learned so far. College. Is. Hard.

People always would tell me how difficult college is and the difference between college and high school, but I did not believe them until now.

There are no progress reports, the professors are not worried about each student in a class of 300 students, and you are responsible for yourself.

In Chico, I have earned a position in The Orion, which is the school’s newspaper, and that one organization is consuming so much of my time.

Although college is a lot of work and is intense, I feel a sense of pride for each accomplishment I make. Every article I write, every assignment I complete, and every class I attend.

Basically, all I am saying is be prepared. To attend college and be successful, you must be determined and really aspire to have a degree, because even a couple of weeks in, college separates the college intellects from the high school students.

Yet with all the pressure of college work, I must say I’m having the time of my life outside of class.

I believe one of the best aspects of college so far is being able to relax with new friends after a day of hard work.

Creating lasting memories and simply having fun around town, star-gazing, and playing an endless amount of video games.

Overall, college is amazing, you just truly have to want to be there.
