Hi guys!

I am writing this blog to  share with you some of the things that I did over my spring break. As a college student, leader at church, and member of the labor force, my time is usually busy. Therefore, having completed most of the work that I was supposed to for school, I decided to have a lot of “me” time over spring break.

First and foremost I made sure to dedicate time to people who are important to me and whom I don’t see quite often. Thus, as soon as my classes ended…

1.  I went to visit one of my closest friends who is in DC for a while and at the time was preparing to go to Cuba (The day I  officially began break, a Thursday)

2.  I met with one of my former teachers whom I always enjoy having conversations with (Sunday)

3.  I went to the Air & Space Museum in Washington DC with a good friend of mine (Monday)

4. I went to the gym on my own, rested home, and attended a meeting from church at night (Tuesday)

5.  I went to the gym with a friend from church, whom I also enjoy having conversations with, and at night I went to church for service (Wednesday)

6. And lastly, I completed a project for one of my classes, went to church for service, and I ended break visiting two good friends of mine whom I usually discuss my life-plans with (Sunday)

… And the days I did not mention I was either working or resting at home. But overall, I enjoyed every day I got to be with these people who mean so much to me.

There are two lessons I did learn though…
1. I need to always find time to meet with the people I love, no matter how tight my schedule is, because at the end of the day; those relationships are the ones that truly matter.
2. Regardless of being on break, I need to always check my student e-mail for any updates or notices as well as the website for my assignments to make sure that I am not behind in my school work.

I hope these two tips help you as well whether you are in college or in high school!

Have a good one,

Brenda 🙂
