My name is Kat, and I am first! I never thought I would be first though. I have an older brother who ended up missing his opportunity for college, and my mom attempted coursework at a community college, but I will be the first to graduate.
I grew up with the goal of becoming a teacher after university, in fact, I started planning my college years in the fifth grade! College means that I am working towards my dream and a better future for myself, and I wouldn’t have it any other way. There are financial hardships from being first, but my family is here to help me succeed in any way they can. I am glad I am first.
