I had never thought that I would have a rough semester, but we all do. Shockingly, I am okay with having a rough semester, but that is primarily because of the great support system I have made here in college. From the first day of the first semester I started creating relationships with my professors, advisers, and friends. These relationships have evolved into a successful support system that is necessary for navigation through the highs and lows of college.

From homework nights together, making sure I have at least one meal a day, help finding the resources I need, always being available, to just allowing me to rant and many more things. I would just like to say I am grateful and thankful for those in my life especially during college, which is a challenge I am so happy to be going through for my family.

Support systems are necessary in all parts of life, especially when you are in an area that is practically foreign to you because no one else in your family has experienced it before. It is easy to lose yourself or get off track when you don’t know whats going on, but having those around you who have experienced it or are going through it along with you are helpful. Not being alone in this journey known as college creates an environment productive of success. You have someone to keep you accountable and make sure you are doing your best mentally, physically, and emotionally. There is not a day that goes by where I am not thankful for those who have impacted my college career. Find your own support system and remember you got this and you’re not alone!

Don’t forget to give thanks,
