On October 22nd, I’m First held an #AskAdmissions Google+ Hangout, featuring our College Partners and our I’m First Bloggers!
I’m First College Partners, University of Notre Dame and Bucknell University, discussed ways in which first-generation students could proactively seek opportunities and programs on college campuses that will support them as first-gen, and also discussed the awesome programs on their respective campuses that provide support for their first-generation students.
I’m First Bloggers and current first-generation college students, Tyler Lattimore and Abigail Macias, talked about how services and support on their campuses have helped them as first-generation students. Our Bloggers also offered advice to students on how to best adjust to campus life and how to to seek out support groups and organizations on campus.
