As the end of my last fall semester as an undergraduate student rapidly approaches, I am beginning to reflect more on these last four years and how far I have come. I started my journey as a college student at a community college in Southern California. Although I was anxious to get out of community college and move on to a larger university, I am beyond thankful for the lessons I had learned throughout my time there. It was in a CC where I learned the importance of working hard when failure strikes rather than giving up. Since starting at Boston University, I am beyond thankful for the guidance and support I have received from some amazing individuals I have gotten to know. Between professors and bosses, I have learned the importance of striving to take the extra step and to move ahead of the status quo. I have also been motivated to follow my passions and I know I can achieve whatever I set my heart out to do given the endless support I have from friends, family, and mentors. College is a time where you are constantly being challenged academically as well as personally, and if you do not graduate as a more well rounded individual, then I do not believe you took complete advantage of it.
