Congratulations to everyone for all your hard work and perseverance! Make sure to reward yourself and take a much-needed break this summer before your new journey begins. I personally celebrated getting into my college at my graduation party, where I had all my friends and family come and celebrate my accomplishments in preparation for my new chapter in life. The main factor I held in deciding which college I would attend was finances. I come from a single-parent home and I always knew that if I could ease the financial burden of college with scholarships and grants then that’s what I would do. I chose a college that was close to me so I could commute and gave me sufficient financial aid. I had no clue that I would fall in love with my college and would be eternally grateful for the chance to attend. What I like most about Alvernia University is the kindness and acceptance of everyone there. Someone is always willing to help you if you are struggling, which is a massive relief when you are a confused freshman who is really unsure of how college works. Every college has something to love, you’ll just have to find it!
