Perception of college has changed a lot because college is not always fun and games. When I was in high school I thought how hard could college life be since I already have some college classes under my belt. Turns out that it way harder because you have to really balance school work, your job and a social life. My perception of college life was to come to school study, have some fun, and college life was going to be easy. The “going to be easy part”, that will never be the case when you are in college. You can have fun but you have to remember that school work comes first and that you know what needs to be done first. In reality you will have problems, things will happen, and it is not going to be easy sailing all the time. There were was one surprises that I did not account for is when you have family problems like a death in the family, or someone getting hurt in a car accident. This was my surprise because it is hard for me to just up and leave to go home when I had class work to do. The only way to overcome things like this is to pray about it and you will get through it. Another challenge I have experience is lack of money, which can be stressful. When you have lack of money you just try to have a monthly budget and try not to buy things that you do not need. After all of that college has helped me in finding my major which now will be Public Health. Also, this is one thing in college that you will change up some much it is not even funny.
