Summer is coming to an end! My first day of class is Tuesday, so I would like to share with you how I spent my summer vacation this year. First of all, just before last semester ended I scored a job at In-N-Out Burger (the best burger place in the world). I was pretty excited because although it is a fast food place, it is not easy to get a job there and they pay well. I learned things pretty quickly and have really enjoyed myself there so far. I would normally work five days a week, sometimes four.
On my off days, or even after work I loved to go golfing. As I have shared with you in previous blog posts, I have always been a baseball player. After I realized I would never be able to play baseball at a high level because of my shoulder, I had to find some way to fill my time. Golf was the perfect solution to that problem. Because of my baseball past, I was able to pick up the game very quickly and although I am by no means Tiger Woods out there, I can definitely hold my own and I am continuing to improve week by week.
Probably the biggest highlight of my summer was my trip to New York. I am actually on the plane ride back to Los Angeles as I am writing this post! I went with my friend Chase De Jong and his family, who were kind enough to ask me to join them. He played in Yankee Stadium with some of the best high school players in the nation and on the other few days we were there we toured the city and did many fun things. It has been my dream ever since I was young to go to New York, so I was absolutely ecstatic to go on that trip.
Well I have couple hours left on this flight, I’m going to try and get some shuteye! Thanks for reading, and I will talk to you again soon.
