My name is Damian. I am the first to go to college in my family. Pursuing a post secondary education is invaluable. It teaches you to critically think, which in turn provides prospective on how you can make a change in your community. For example, my goal is to change the negative view on police that has grown in the recent years. By becoming a compassionate, educated and most importantly, an accepting officer, I hope to change the peoples views one by one. This way they can trust the people who are protecting the community. This is essential to working towards equality for everyone.
