Summer is over and the Fall semester is already here. It feels like I just finished the second semester of my freshman year; I blinked and summer was over.

This summer I was able to take part in an internship with my high school by working at their headquarters. It was a really unique experience- I was able to work with the marketing department and see what all they do. I focused mainly on creation of videos, though it was not really my thing. I was able to see firsthand all the hard work that goes into each aspect to make my high school as great as it is!

I just finished moving in to my new dorm today. I’m pretty nervous, I have three suite mates this year and today I was able to meet one. She seemed incredibly sweet and I cannot wait to meet the other two! Moving in was not as hectic as it was last year, I suppose it is because I knew what to expect (more or less) and how to navigate about my campus. I had done a “drop and run” the other day, which is an opportunity to drop some of your belongings off to your dorm before your actual move in date to lighten your load, and it helped out a lot. My boyfriend helped me move in- and by that I mean he mostly did the moving.

The first few weeks are always kind of awkward as we all have to get used to one another’s schedules and get to know each other. Hopefully all goes well and we are able to get along!

I’m pretty nervous about this next semester because I have a new job at a call center on campus. I want to work more hours this year so I won’t have to worry about my finances as much, but I’m worried about how to schedule my time. I’m hoping that I find a way to make it all work and not feel so frustrated.

I can’t wait to see what this year has in store for me!
