Erik in Kearney, NE

My name is Erik Delgadillo, and I am first. Both of my parents grew up in Mexico and did not attend school past 8th grade due to not having enough money to continue their education. My dad moved to the United States when he was 16 years, my mother moved here when she was around 18. My parents are absolutely the hardest workers I have ever met and I strive to be just like them. My dad has worked in the meat packing business since he moved to the USA, he told me since I was little that he wanted me to go to college and get a degree because he did not want me to have to work long hard hours at a factory job just to be able to make good money. My mother also worked with my dad in the meat packing plants for many years, she is now a stay-at-home mom. I was born in Green Bay Wisconsin, my family also includes my younger sister named Jenny, and my older sister Julie who is 8 years older than me and has her own family and house in Colorado. we have also lived in, Colorado, Florida, Iowa, and Nebraska. The reason we have lived in many different states is because of my dad’s work, he has been relocated to different plants all over the country. I am also bilingual, I speak English and Spanish, and growing up all we spoke in our house was Spanish.
