Hello fellow young-ins! I just returned to school, as in, i got back into my room roughly 20 minutes ago. I’ve parked my bags in the spot where they’ll most likely spend the next 2 weeks in as I live out of them and procrastinate on unpacking. Looking ahead into this next week, it doesn’t feel like the start on anything new. Going into the second semester of freshman year is much like jumping back into the pond. Although I don’t feel much like a tadpole anymore, I have the leg things tadpoles grow as their tails shorten. I know where my classes will be and have an idea of what wall I’ll be climbing–and I love that I have an idea. The first semester was a  whirlwind of emotions toward harder classes and more freedom and independence but this semester I’ll be better at handling my time. That’s my new years resolution: time management (but it’s already in the sink since I’ve forgotten about posting). More opportunities will arise as the new year goes on so I’m planning on taking advantage of a lot more than last year! But i don’t want it to end like an ambitious Thanksgiving plate where you pile on everything then sit down and only finish half before the turkey coma hits. So I’ll schedule things out and scribble things down more, use the notes app on my phone like another extension of my conscience. I’m looking forward to a new start, a new year, and new mistakes to be learned from. Hope this post finds you all in good health and even better mental stability after all the college app rushing. All the best wishes for your new start!
